FAQ
What is b14g?

b14g acts as a BTC restaking coordination hub, creating a two-sided market: (1) it provides yield to BTC holders through no-loss restaking, and (2) it enhances security for PoS chains and DApps via BTC-merged tokens.

b14g Architecture:

  • - b14g Network: A Layer 2 blockchain that functions as an intermediary, aggregating data between PoS chains and the Bitcoin chain, enabling trustless BTC staking and offering native yield for BTC holders.
  • - b14g Hub: A liquid restaking protocol where users employ their LRTs (Liquid Restaking Tokens) to secure other DApps and earn additional returns.
What problems does b14g solve?

Similar to existing BTC restaking solutions, b14g tackles the pain points of two key participants: BTC holders and DApps. BTC holders have idle BTC in their wallets with limited earning potential, while PoS chains and DApps require capital for security but struggle to attract it without resorting to unsustainable high staking yields and inflation.

However, what sets b14g apart is its unique selling point: We keep your BTC safe with no-loss staking.

Some current solutions require users to bridge their BTC to PoS chains through centralized custodians, relinquishing control of their BTC to these custodians. Other solutions allow remote staking of BTC into a vault on the Bitcoin chain, giving users control over their BTC. However, these vaults may be subject to slashing based on events from the PoS chain, introducing vulnerabilities that could result in BTC loss.

With b14g`&lsquo s no-loss staking, we offer unique BTC-merged tokens staking. Users can stake a merged token formed from BTC and the native token of the protocol, enabling slashing on the native token while keeping BTC safe from penalties. Just as no one would burn gold, your BTC remains secure in the vault on the Bitcoin chain. We ensure that your BTC stays untouched and protected, barring any attacks from the PoS chain, unless someone gains access to your private key.

What is b14g Testnet-01?

Similar to existing BTC restaking solutions, b14g tackles the pain points of two key participants: BTC holders and DApps. BTC holders have idle BTC in their wallets with limited earning potential, while PoS chains and DApps require capital for security but struggle to attract it without resorting to unsustainable high staking yields and inflation.

Note: Signet Bitcoin is a simulated currency used for testing purposes only. It does not carry any monetary value and is not redeemable or tradable.

How can I participate in the b14g Testnet-01?

You can participate by depositing and withdrawing Signet Bitcoin on our dApp at: https://b14g.xyz/deposit. You will need Signet Bitcoin to start, which can be minted at signetfaucet.com.

Are there any rewards or penalties in the testnet?

No, there will be no PoS test chain, PoS test staking rewards, or slashing in this testnet. This testnet aims to focus on the security of staked Signet Bitcoins by testing user interactions with the Signet BTC test network.

However, participants will receive points for their contributions to b14g during the testnet. While the specific future benefits of these points cannot be disclosed at this time, they hold potential value.

In upcoming phases, PoS chains will be integrated to test data aggregation between the Bitcoin chain and PoS chains. This phase will introduce restaking rewards and a slashing mechanism.

What are the staking limits?

The initial total staking cap is 10 Signet Bitcoin. The minimum stake per transaction is 0.0005 Signet Bitcoin, and the maximum is 0.1 Signet Bitcoin.

Are there any risks involved in participating in the testnet?

Since Signet Bitcoin is a simulated currency, there are no financial risks. However, this testnet is an opportunity to test and improve the security of Bitcoin restaking protocols.

What should I do if I encounter issues or bugs while participating in the testnet?

Report any issues or bugs through the designated support channels on our Telegram Community chat. Your feedback is valuable to help improve the system.

What are the future plans for b14g after Testnet-01?

In upcoming phases, PoS chains will be involved to test data aggregation between the Bitcoin chain and PoS chains, which will include rewards and slashing.
